Local SEO Management
Local SEO that puts your business in the Map Pack, and keeps it there.
We rank Australian service businesses and brick-and-mortar stores in the Google Map Pack and the local organic results sitting just below it. NAP cleanup, Google Business Profile optimisation, local citation building, hyper-local landing pages, and a review-velocity strategy that actually moves the needle. North Adelaide office, working with local businesses across Australia.
If you are not in the Map Pack, you are effectively invisible.
When a customer searches "plumber near me" or "florist Norwood" they almost never scroll past the three Map Pack results at the top of the page. Most local SEO accounts we audit are losing visibility in four predictable places.
-
01
NAP inconsistency across the web
Your business name, address, and phone number appear differently on your website, Google Business Profile, Yellow Pages, True Local, Facebook, and a hundred other directories. Google sees mismatched data and quietly demotes you. Most local accounts have at least 30 inconsistencies pulling rankings down.
-
02
Half-finished Google Business Profile
Categories wrong, no service list, no products, no posts in six months, no Q&A answered, photos uploaded once in 2021. The GBP is the single highest-impact local ranking signal and the one most often left to drift.
-
03
Reviews that have stopped flowing
Local rankings reward review velocity, not just total count. A business with 47 reviews and one new review a month outranks a business with 280 reviews from three years ago. Without a structured review request system, your local authority slowly decays.
-
04
One generic page for every suburb
One "Service Areas" page with twenty suburb names crammed in. No suburb-level content, no local schema, no genuinely useful information about Norwood vs Glenelg vs Mitcham. Google has no reason to rank you in any of them.
Six pillars of local search, all run by the same senior team.
One agency, every local SEO lever pulled in concert. No outsourced citation gigs, no junior hand-off, no cookie-cutter packages.
Google Business Profile
Your highest-impact local ranking asset. We claim, verify, and optimise every field: categories, services, products, attributes, photos, and weekly posts. Q&A monitored, reviews responded to, insights tracked weekly.
Local citation building
Audit, cleanup, and structured citation building across the directories Google actually trusts. NAP synchronised everywhere, duplicates suppressed, and authority directories prioritised over volume-only listings.
Hyper-local on-page SEO
Genuine suburb-level landing pages with content worth reading, local schema markup wired in, embedded maps, and internal links that pass authority where it counts. Not thin doorway pages, real local resources.
Review strategy and management
Automated review request flows triggered after a job, transaction, or appointment. Response templates for the team, escalation for negative reviews, and a steady drip of fresh five-star feedback that compounds local authority.
Local link building
Local sponsorships, chamber memberships, supplier and partner listings, community page placements, and digital PR. Authority links from genuinely relevant local sources, not link farms.
Local rank tracking and reporting
Grid-based local rank tracking from multiple points across your service area. You see exactly where you appear in the Map Pack, suburb by suburb, and what is moving each month.
Three signals decide who wins the Map Pack.
Local rankings come down to three factors Google has been transparent about for years. Most agencies focus on one and ignore the other two. Our local SEO management works all three in parallel.
Relevance
Does your business actually offer what the searcher is looking for? On-page content, GBP categories, services and products, schema, and review keywords all signal relevance.
Proximity
How close are you to the searcher? You cannot move your office, but you can build local landing pages, add local schema, and earn authority signals from each suburb you serve.
Prominence
How well-known is your business in the area? Driven by review velocity, citations, local backlinks, brand mentions, and overall organic authority. The slow-burn lever, and the one that compounds hardest.
Senior-led, monthly hands-on, visible at every step.
Five phases from kickoff to compounding rankings. Same rigour for a single-location Adelaide trade business as a multi-location national service brand.
Local SEO audit
Free written audit covering NAP consistency, GBP optimisation, citation health, on-page local signals, current local rankings across your service area, review profile, and competitor positioning. The honest picture, not a pitch deck.
Strategy and 90-day roadmap
We map every suburb you actually want to rank in, prioritise the ones with the highest commercial intent, and lock in the GBP, citation, on-page and review work in priority order. You sign off before we touch anything live.
NAP cleanup, GBP rebuild, foundation
The unglamorous work most agencies skip. NAP corrected and synchronised across every directory that matters, duplicate listings suppressed, GBP fully optimised, on-page local schema added, location pages drafted.
Authority building and review velocity
Citation building on a steady cadence, local link outreach, GBP weekly posts and Q&A management, review request automation deployed. Rankings start moving in weeks 6 to 10 typically.
Compound, expand, defend
Once you are ranking in the Map Pack we expand to additional suburbs, build out hub-and-spoke local content, defend the rankings from competitors, and feed the data into your Google Ads and conversion-rate optimisation work.
The local SEO agency you actually want to work with.
Six commitments we make to every local SEO client. Not bonus services. Not upsells. The minimum bar.
Senior SEO specialists, always
The strategist on your first call is the one in your account every month. No junior hand-off after sign-up, no offshore citation gigs running in the background.
You own everything
Google Business Profile, Search Console, GA4, your CMS, your citation list. Every asset is in your name with you as owner. We are admins, nothing more.
Plain-English monthly reporting
A short Loom walkthrough of the actual rank movements and what we did this month. No 32-page PDF, no jargon, no impressions-only vanity metrics.
No lock-in contracts
Month-to-month from day one. If we are not earning our keep, you walk. Keeps us honest, keeps the local SEO work focused on results, not retention.
Suburb-level rank tracking
Grid-based local rank tracking so you can see exactly where you appear in the Map Pack across every suburb you serve, not just a single national average.

Common questions from Australian local business owners.
If your question is not here, the fastest way to get an answer is a 30-minute call.
What is local SEO and how is it different from regular SEO?
Local SEO is the practice of ranking for searches that have local intent, meaning the searcher wants a business near them. "Plumber near me", "florist Norwood", "dentist Glenelg open now". It overlaps with regular SEO on technical foundations and content quality, but adds Google Business Profile optimisation, NAP citation management, local schema, suburb-level landing pages, and a review velocity strategy. Regular SEO ranks pages. Local SEO ranks businesses inside a service area.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Quick wins on Google Business Profile and NAP cleanup typically show inside 4 to 6 weeks. Map Pack rankings for moderately competitive terms move between weeks 8 and 16. Higher-competition Map Pack positions and organic local rankings compound over 4 to 9 months. Local SEO is slower than Google Ads but it compounds: a ranking earned in month four is still working for you in month forty.
How much does local SEO management cost?
Local SEO management with Digital Choice is a flat monthly retainer scoped against the size of your service area, the number of suburbs you want to rank in, and the competitive landscape. Single-location service businesses sit at the lower end, multi-location and high-competition categories at the higher end. Exact pricing is confirmed during the free local SEO audit, with no markups on third-party tooling and no extra cost for citation building or GBP work.
What is the Google Map Pack and how do I get into it?
The Map Pack is the boxed group of three local business listings Google shows at the top of the results page for any local-intent search. Getting in requires a verified Google Business Profile, strong NAP consistency across the web, review velocity, on-page local relevance, proximity to the searcher, and overall local prominence. Most service businesses can get into the Map Pack for at least their primary suburb within 3 to 6 months of disciplined work.
Will local SEO work for a service-area business with no shopfront?
Yes. Google Business Profile supports service-area businesses where the address is hidden but you list the suburbs you serve. Plumbers, electricians, mobile mechanics, cleaners, locksmiths, and tradespeople can all rank in the Map Pack for relevant local searches without a public address. The strategy shifts slightly compared with brick-and-mortar but the core ranking factors are the same.
How do I claim and optimise my Google Business Profile?
You verify ownership via postcard, phone, email or video, depending on what Google offers your business. Once verified, you complete every field: primary and secondary categories, services, products, attributes, full description, opening hours, photos, posts, and Q&A. We handle the entire process for clients, including ongoing weekly post management and review responses, but we will also walk you through doing it yourself if that is what you prefer.
What is NAP consistency and why does it matter?
NAP stands for Name, Address, and Phone number. Google checks how consistently your NAP appears across the web, your website, your GBP, directories like Yellow Pages and True Local, social profiles, supplier pages and so on. Inconsistent data, like an old address on one directory and a new one on another, makes Google less confident about your business and demotes you in local rankings. NAP cleanup is unglamorous and high-impact.
Do you only work with Adelaide local businesses?
Our office is in North Adelaide and we run plenty of local SEO accounts in Adelaide and across South Australia. We also manage local SEO for service businesses, e-commerce stores and multi-location brands across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Perth, and regional Australia. The discipline is the same wherever the customer is searching from.
